The Karen people of Northern Thailand are one of the largest ethnic groups among the many Hill Tribe Peoples of the Golden Triangle region of Thailand, Laos and Myanmar. Masterful goldsmiths, the Karen are known for their fine beadmaking. Typical for Karen beads are the floral or abstract patterns that are stamped onto each bead, no matter the size or shape of the bead.
